Derek Telfer is a founding member of The Shrine Committee.  He discovered Our Lady of Montserrat, R.C. Church one day as he was driving through the village of Tortuga.  Upon passing the Church, he felt a call to stop and venture in.  This turned out to be a life-changing experience for Derek, as he became a committed member of the community ever since.  A loving father of four, Derek is a business owner, who brings his supervisory and maintenance expertise to the various events and projects undertaken by the Shrine Committee.
